John has served as Vice President, Internal Audit at Glatfelter since 2016. Glatfelter is a global B2B supplier of specialty papers and fiber-based engineered materials and is based in York, Pennsylvania.
In his position, John reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors. He leads a team of professional auditors who assess risks throughout the organization and deliver internal control assurance and advisory services to management.
Prior to joining Glatfelter, John spent 27 years with The Hershey Company, most recently as Vice President, Internal Audit. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers.
John graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, magna cum laude, and holds a bachelor’s in business administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner, something he hopes he doesn’t have to use too often. He resides in New Cumberland with his wife, and together they are enjoying life as empty nesters following three successful “launches”.
